HAZEL GODFREY

Hazel is a willow artist and contemporary basketmaker.  Using traditional and contemporary basketmaking techniques, Hazel creates work that celebrates nature’s bounty and our natural environment.

She makes commissioned work for private and corporate clients.  This work includes large sculptural pieces.  She also makes smaller sculpture and baskets, decorative and functional for both home and garden.

Hazel grows her own willow which provides for the majority of her weaving.  She also uses other natural materials such as cane, bark, leaves and found items.

She is a member of the Basketmakers’ Association, the Buckinghamshire Craft Guild, Visual Images Group, and Hertfordshire Visual Arts.

Hazel has exhibited on a Gold Award winning stand at Chelsea Flower Show.
