The inspiration for my work usually comes from nature and growing forms. I love plant, pod and leaf shapes; the way grasses sway in a breeze; the way trees bend to a prevailing wind. All these things I have tried to capture in my sculptures.
Pieces are made from stoneware clays of different textures and colours. They are usually unglazed and are often combined with metal or wood.
I also make raku fired pieces and love the drama and the unexpected results that can be achieved. I am always on the hunt for new and exciting ways of firing clay.
I teach a couple of pottery classes at Artworks MK and also Raku workshops at Westbury Farm from spring to autumn.
